The 26th Annual National Guard Educational Foundation Golf Tournament saw 120 golfers take part in the event at Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, Virginia, Monday.
The winning team of Kurt Vogel, Mike Regan, Mark Covey and Jim Winkley finished at 10 under par.
The event raised more than $30,000 for NGEF, which preserves and shares all 388 years of the Guard's story.
"We are truly humbled that so many came out to support this annual event to raise funds to help us tell the Guard story," said Luke Guthrie, NGEF's director.
"It was such a fun day and we thank the companies, individuals and organizations that made this a special event," added Guthrie, who is also the director of the National Guard Insurance Trust.
The shotgun "Captain’s Choice" scramble began at 10 a.m. Sept. 23.
Golfers from across the country played in rainy conditions with comfortable temperatures for most of the day.
Competitors were provided complimentary beverages from AM General and AGIA and a buffet-style lunch sponsored by Collins Aerospace, USAA, GDIT, Tradeshow Logic, GEICO and TriWest Healthcare Alliance.
A raffle involving sports tickets packages for Washington Commanders and Washington Capitals games, sports memorabilia and gift certificates from other sponsors concluded the event.
The tournament will return to Laurel Hill next year at a date to be determined.
NGEF's programs include the National Guard Memorial Museum, which resides in the association's District of Columbia headquarters.
The foundation relies solely on charitable contributions to accomplish its mission.
NGEF operates independently of NGAUS, but both organizations share space at the same building in the nation's capital.
