The NGAUS board of directors has a new chairman following the association's 146th General Conference & Exhibition in Detroit.
Maj. Gen. Paul D. Rogers now serves as chairman of the NGAUS board after the conference, which occurred Aug. 23-26.
Rogers is also the adjutant general of Michigan and helped host last month's conference in the Great Lakes State.
He additionally served as the association's Area V TAG representative before becoming its new chairman.
Maj. Gen. Janson "Durr" Boyles of Mississippi is now the association's immediate past chairman.
Two other officers were also elected to the NGAUS board during the association's recent business in Detroit.
Maj. Gen. Hal B. Lamberton — the adjutant general of Kentucky — is now the NGAUS vice chair-Army.
Retired Brig. Gen. Bobbi J. Doorenbos of Arkansas — who previously served as the association's retired and separated director, Air — was elected to serve as its latest secretary.
Maj. Gen. Ondra L. Berry of Nevada and retired Brig. Gen. Ken L. Ross of Louisiana were reelected as vice chair-Air and treasurer, respectively.
Board officers and directors for Areas III and VI were also approved during the NGAUS conference, as were new representatives for the association's company-grade committee, Army and warrant officer positions.
Army Lt. Col. Ben Ruffner of Florida and Air Force Maj. J.D. Watson of Tennessee were elected as the new Area III board members.
Col. Shaun Cruze of Nevada was also elected as the new Area VI Air representative.
Maj. Gen. Warner Ross of Tennessee will remain the TAG representative for Area III.
Delegates reelected Maj. Gen. Miguel Aguilar of New Mexico as the TAG representative for Area VI, while Capt. Rasheeda Bilal of California will remain the area's Army representative.
Chief Warrant Officer 5 Bob Nicholson of Tennessee will remain the association's warrant officer representative.

The new board will meet for the first time Nov. 16 at the National Guard Memorial, the association’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Delegates also passed 79 Army, Air and Joint resolutions Aug. 26 that will form the basis of the association's legislative agenda on Capitol Hill next year.
Representatives from all 50 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia developed the final package of resolutions during meetings earlier in the recent NGAUS conference.

Delegates additionally voted on changes to the association's by-laws Aug. 26, the conference's final day.
Resolutions adopted by a general NGAUS conference are now effective for three years, but may be extended for one-year increments. All extensions must be considered individually.
Originally, resolutions adopted by a general conference were only effective for one year or until the next NGAUS general conference occurred.
For the association's corporate members, the amount paid for dues at various corporate membership levels will now be determined by the NGAUS board.
Originally, changes in corporate membership types and costs required a change in by-laws.
