A new legislative assistant has joined the NGAUS team.
Mia Weissbluth started Dec. 5 at the National Guard Memorial, the association's headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Her duties include assisting with administrative tasks and tracking policy progress for the NGAUS legislative team.
Weissbluth took the position because she wanted to help the Guard get the resources it needs and she supports the association's mission.
"I’m hoping to be a helpful and supportive member of the legislation team," she said.
Before joining NGAUS, Weissbluth served as a legislative intern for Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill.
Weissbluth has a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Middle Eastern studies & government.
