Pre-Conference Special Edition | July 2023
With the 2023 NGAUS Conference just weeks away, your Corporate Advisory Panel (CAP) is pleased with several changes during the event to optimize your customer engagement opportunities. Working directly with the NGAUS event planning staff, the CAP is bringing two significant additions to the conference. First is the business session stage for hosting Guard working events directly on the exhibit floor. The other is a “New Corporate Member Orientation” open to first-time NGAUS participants, including exhibiting members and general industry attendees. Our goal is to provide our newest corporate members with the tips/techniques and event best practices on Day 1 so your time at the NGAUS Conference is more productive. For all the participating companies who are new to NGAUS, you will want to mark your calendars for Saturday, 1:30-2:30. The CAP will also have several raffle giveaways for those attending the session.
For those who may be unaware of what the CAP is, let me offer a snapshot. The CAP is a NGAUS “Special Committee” serving an advisory role directly to the Board of Directors. Our 15-member charter is to foster NGAUS and corporate member relationships and support the mutual goal of enhancing and promoting National Guard modernization and readiness. What this means in practice is to serve as your voice to NGAUS throughout the year and represent our shared interests. The significant conference changes you will see this year are only possible through the strong working relationship between your CAP and the NGAUS team—and it’s working well!
Want to become even more involved with NGAUS? Become a member of CAP! The self-nomination window is open until Aug 1st. As CAP Chair, I would encourage anyone interested in learning more about your CAP or running for a position to contact Blaise, Mike Ford or me for more information. I’ll see you in Reno!
