Meals and Special Deals Available on Veterans Day

Veterans and current service members are eligible for free meals and other special deals at many restaurants, retailers and recreational activities nationwide for Veterans Day 2021.

NGAUS compiled the list below from several sources. Eligibility criteria is as provided and varies by establishment. Many businesses use the term “active duty” when they really mean “actively serving.”

You may also need proof of service, such as a military ID card or driver’s license with the veteran designation.

Offers are available Thursday, Nov. 11 only unless otherwise noted. The list will be updated as more offers become available.

Restaurants and other businesses not on the list may also be providing deals and rewards on Veterans Day. It never hurts to ask.

Meals at Restaurants

54th Street Grill (www.54thstreetgrill.com) Veterans and active duty service members eat free up to $14 on Nov. 11. The offer cannot be used in combination with a reward or other discount, including 54 Funds, and is available for dine-in only. Proof of service is appreciated. Discount code: Veterans Day.

Applebee’s (www.applebees.com) Contact your local Applebee’s to learn about any Veterans Day offerings in your neighborhood. Offers may vary based on local mandates and guidelines.

BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse (www.bjsrestaurants.com/VeteransDay) BJ’s is serving those who have served their country by once again teaming up with Dr Pepper®, offering a complimentary meal from a select menu and a Dr Pepper® beverage to all current military personnel and veterans with proof of service.

Bob Evans (www.bobevans.com/veterans-day) Veterans and active-duty military receive a special menu of seven (7) homestyle favorites for FREE at local restaurants. Dine-in only. Visit the Bob Evans website for more details.

Buffalo Wild Wings (www.buffalowildwings.com) Veterans and service members get a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries. This offer is available for dine-in or takeout (online ordering excluded). Proof of service must be shown.

Cabo Wabo Cantina (Las Vegas) (www.cabowabocantina.com) Sammy Hagar’s strip-side cantina located inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas offers a 10% discount on food and drinks every day to active-duty and veterans and will increase it to 20% off food and drinks.

California Dreaming (californiadreaming.rest) Veterans and active-duty service members get 50% off any entree at locations in Augusta, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; Columbia, South Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; Spanish Fort, Alabama; and Surfside Beach, South Carolina.

California Pizza Kitchen (www.cpk.com) Veterans and active military get a complimentary entrée and beverage when they dine in and show proof of service. In addition, all veterans who dine with California Pizza Kitchen will receive a BOGO, redeemable from Nov. 12 through 20.

Carolina Roadhouse (carolinaroadhouse.com) Veterans and active-duty service members get 50% off any entrée.

Casino Queen (casinoqueenmarquette.com) Active-duty and retired service members get a complimentary all-you-can-eat buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 4 to 8 p.m. for dinner.

Chili’s (www.chilis.com/restaurant-events/veterans-day) Veterans and active-duty service members get a free meal from a select menu. Dine-in only.

Cracker Barrel (www.crackerbarrel.com) Cracker Barrel offers a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca Cola Cake with in-store or online purchase. Use promo code VETSDAY21 online.

The Chop House (chophousenola.com/happenings) Veterans and active military receive a 50% discount off any entrée with a valid military ID. Dine-in only. DraftKings at Casino Queen (draftkingsatcasinoqueen.com) Service members and veterans will receive a complimentary meal of pork steak, mashed potatoes and vegetables between 9 a.m. and midnight. Service members and veterans also receive a 15% discount on hotel reservations at DraftKings at Casino Queen year-round.

Dunkin’ (news.dunkindonuts.com/blog/veterans-day-free-donut) All veterans and service members get a free donut of their choice.

Golden Corral (www.goldencorral.com/military-appreciation) Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on Veterans Day from 5 p.m. to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.

IHOP (happyeventday.com/ihop-veterans-day) Veterans and active-duty military receive free red, white and blue pancakes.

Hamburger Stand (www.hamburgerstand.com) Veterans and active-duty service members get a free hamburger, regular fries, and small Pepsi when they present their military identification or wear their military uniform to any participating location.

Little Caesars (littlecaesars.com/en-us) Little Caesars offers veterans and active military a free lunch combo at participating stores nationwide on Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Logan’s Roadhouse (logansroadhouse.com) Logan’s Roadhouse offers all veterans a free American Roadhouse Meal from 3 to 6 p.m.

Lucille’s BBQ (www.lucillesbbq.com/promos/military-family-month) Veterans and active-duty military receive a fee Lucille’s Original Pulled Pork Sandwich and one side item. Must show proof of service. During the month of November, dine at any Lucille’s location to round up your bill to the nearest dollar where your generous donations will support Operation Homefront’s Holiday Meals for Military.

Outback (www.outback.com) Outback offers a free bloomin’ Onion and Coca Cola product to all veterans and active military.

Pilot, Flying J and One9 Fuel Network (pilotflyingj.com/rewards) Veterans authenticated with ID.me in the myRewards Plus app can save their exclusive offer for a $10 free meal credit. Veterans can choose from a variety of food and beverages, including Pilot coffee, fountain drinks, non-alcoholic cooler beverages, hot and cold food items, name-brand snacks, and purchases at over 680 participating restaurants.

Quaker Steak & Lube (thelube.com) Veterans and active-duty service members get 50% off any entrée at participating locations.

Red Lobster (www.redlobster.com) In honor of Veterans Day, and to thank veterans, active duty military and reservists for their service, Red Lobster is offering a free appetizer or dessert.

Sheetz (www.sheetz.com) Veterans will be offered a free lunch of half a turkey or ham sub and a regular fountain drink. Plus a free $9 car wash.

Shoney’s (www.shoneys.com) Veterans and active-duty service members get a free All You Care To Eat, Freshly Prepared Breakfast Bar. Until 11 a.m. Dine-in only.

Starbucks (starbucks.com) Veterans, service members and military spouses get a free tall (12-ounce) hot brewed coffee at participating U.S. stores.  

Texas Roadhouse (www.texasroadhouse.com) Texas Roadhouse will hand out dinner vouchers at the stores’ parking lots from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Veterans and active-duty military can redeem their dinner vouchers when the restaurant opens for dinner, through May 30, 2022.

Wendy’s (www.wendys.com) Veterans and service members get a free breakfast combo offer with valid military ID or a Veterans Advantage card.

White Castle (www.whitecastle.com) Veterans and active-duty service members get a free Combo Meal #1 through #6 or Breakfast Combo Meal at participating restaurants for dine-in only. Proof of service is required.

Wienerschnitzel (www.wienerschnitzel.com) Veterans and active-duty service members get a free chili dog, small fries, and a small Pepsi when they present their military identification or wear their uniform to any participating location.

Preference will be given to “first timer” veterans and active-duty personnel; those who have not participated in the program in the past will be given preference. Akron Zoo (Akron, Ohio) (www.akronzoo.org/veterans-appreciation-days-1) From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 11 through 14, all veterans receive free admission with valid military I.D. and immediate family members receive 50% off admission. Visit the website for details.
